Learning Beyond the Classroom

The Liberty Education Foundation's Bright Futures Scholarship helps LPS high school students pursue meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Through programs offered by colleges, universities, businesses, and other organizations, students can explore academic and career interests, develop new skills, and discover possibilities for their futures.

Whether students have already identified an opportunity or need help exploring their options, the Foundation is here to help them take the next step.

What Experiences Qualify?

Bright Futures Scholarships support meaningful academic and career enrichment experiences that allow students to explore interests, develop skills, and discover potential pathways for their futures.

Eligible opportunities may include specialized programs, workshops, academies, and other learning experiences offered by colleges, universities, businesses, and educational or professional organizations.

Bright Futures Scholarships are intended to make meaningful educational experiences more accessible, regardless of cost. Because program fees do not always reflect educational value, the Foundation carefully evaluates opportunities based on the quality of learning, hands-on experiences, and potential benefit to students, rather than prestige or exclusivity. Further, the scholarship does not fund traditional extracurricular activities, including athletic camps, cheerleading programs, school-sponsored performance trips, or routine participation in existing school activities.

All opportunities are reviewed individually to ensure alignment with the scholarship's purpose.

How Does the Scholarship Work?

The Liberty Education Foundation provides scholarships of up to $1,000 to help eligible students participate in approved academic and career enrichment experiences.

Already have a program in mind? Tell us about it! We'll review the opportunity to determine whether it qualifies for scholarship funding.

Not sure where to start? That's okay, too! Share your interests with us, and we'll help you explore potential opportunities.

Students are encouraged to express interest even if they're still figuring out what they want to pursue after high school.

Who Can Participate?

The Bright Futures Scholarship is available to eligible Liberty Public Schools high school students interested in exploring academic or career-related opportunities beyond the classroom.

Students do not need to have a specific career plan or college major in mind. Curiosity, interest, and a willingness to try something new are great places to start!
