JUST FOR YOU

LIBERTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS FACULTY & STAFF,

You make LPS SHINE! Thank you for making LPS a special place where all students have the opportunity to thrive. It is an honor to serve our students and incredible district alongside of you. We have several initiatives in place just for you!

WE ❤️ FACULTY & STAFF…

WEEKLY, MONTHLY, IN NOVEMBER AND LOTS OF SURPRISES IN BETWEEN! ☀️

  • STAY IN THE LOOP

In addition to following us on social media, we send several newsletters throughout the year so that we can keep you in the loop on Foundation happenings.

    NEWSLETTER ARCHIVE

  • FOUNDATION FIRST WEDNESDAYS

Wednesdays are so fun! We encourage staff donors to wear their Foundation t-shirts the first Wednesday of the month, and our Building Champions coordinate a game with a prize from us.

  • THANKFUL FOR YOU NOVEMBER

Thankful for You is our month-long initiative when we express our tremendous appreciation for you - all (nearly 2,000) LPS faculty and staff - with treats, drawings, comfy clothes days and games with prizes.

  • TREATS, SURPRISES AND MORE

We want you to know how much we appreciate all you do for our LPS community! We love surprising you with treats, fun giveaways and sometimes a friendly competition!

LIBERTY EDUCATION FOUNDATION GRANTS

We are now accepting bright idea pitches (grant proposals) for the 2025-2026 school year! We LOVE hearing your ideas, and the process is easy. Tap the link below for more information.

STUDENT GRANTS

Gina Lange at Heritage Middle School guided a group of students through the Student Grant process and said, “I love this opportunity for students to create an idea, fill out a proposal, interview and then see the process through and see their plan in action. So thankful LEF has this opportunity for students.”

SOAR AWARDS

We are proud to sponsor the SOAR Awards.

The SOAR (Service Over and Above the Rest) Awards is the LPS employee recognition program, and several employees are recognized each month! Recipients are presented with a certificate along with a gift card from the Foundation.

2025-2026 STAFF CAMPAIGN

As we invest in bright futures, we invite you to join us through our annual employee campaign. Last year 1,077 employees participated to support district-wide programs that benefit students and staff across throughout the district. Join in as we celebrate 30 years of supporting Liberty Public Schools!

GRADUATE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Through the William Jewell College Graduate Partnership, LPS faculty can earn graduate credit for District professional development at a significantly reduced rate.

Tuition is just $150 per credit hour—a discounted rate from the standard $430. Thanks to a generous scholarship from LPS retiree Dr. Marty Jacobs, the Liberty Education Foundation is proud to offer an additional $50 per credit hour scholarship, lowering your out-of-pocket cost even further to just $100 per credit hour.

For more information, contact Carrie Gabriel, LPS Instructional Coach and Jewell-Liberty PD Partnership Liaison/Adjunct Instructor, at carrie.gabriel@lps53.org or click the link below.
