Liberty Education Foundation’s Team Grows with a Familiar Face

Liberty North junior Leah Hoffman joins the Foundation team as Marketing Associate through Liberty Public Schools’ new youth apprenticeship program.

The Liberty Education Foundation’s team of two is becoming a team of three, and its newest member already has a special connection to the organization.

Leah Hoffman, a junior at Liberty North High School, has volunteered with the Foundation since sixth grade. Now, she is taking the next step as its new Marketing Associate through the Liberty Public Schools Registered Youth Apprenticeship Program.

The district celebrated its inaugural student apprentices at a signing ceremony on September 28, 2026. As the first employer to hire an LPS Registered Youth Apprentice, the Foundation is proud to help expand opportunities for students to explore career interests through paid, hands-on experience alongside professionals in the field.

“Leah was already planning to intern with the Foundation when Dr. Sara Wickham, Director of Real World Learning, shared the district’s new apprenticeship program with me. I immediately knew Leah’s work ethic and ability to manage projects made her a great fit,” said Tanna Campbell, Executive Director of the Liberty Education Foundation. “Our Foundation staff has been a team of two for many years, but as our work continues to grow, so does our need for additional capacity. This created an incredible opportunity to meet a need for the Foundation while providing Leah with meaningful, real-world experience. We’re excited to give her room to explore her interests, share her ideas and build new skills. She already has so much to contribute, and we can’t wait to see all the ways she shines.”

For Leah, the opportunity builds on years of involvement with the Foundation while opening the door to new experiences in marketing, communications and community engagement. She will help create social media and digital content, assist with event planning and execution, and support efforts to expand community partnerships.

Her work will also bring a student perspective to the Foundation’s efforts to enrich educational experiences throughout Liberty Public Schools. Working alongside Foundation staff, she will have opportunities to learn, contribute ideas and see the impact of her work across the district.

The celebration also recognized Elmir Selman, a Liberty High School student who signed to join Cyber 429 as a Cybersecurity Analyst.

The Foundation congratulates both students as they begin these new opportunities and is thrilled to officially welcome Leah to the team.
